The Loft Artists Association is hosting a unique holiday event titled — “Small Art and Craft Market” — in the Gallery at 575 Pacific Street from November 11 to December 17, with a special Holiday Reception on Saturday, December 2, from 2 – 4:30 PM.

“This year the exhibit will highlight small artwork and crafts perfect for holiday gift giving,” show chair and LAA Co-Director, Mark Macrides stated. Loft Artist members and artists from Stamford’s Laurel House Inc, were invited to bring together small drawings, paintings, photographs, sculptures, collages and other mixed media pieces, as well as a variety of handcrafted items such as cards, ceramics, jewelry and ornaments to create a gallery filled with exciting and diverse artwork and crafts. Work will be plentiful to encourage a wide variety of choices; the perfect gifts to bring joy to friends and family over the holiday season. Plan to stop by and select that special and unique gift!

A portion of the proceeds will go to support the work of Laurel House Inc., a 501c (3) nonprofit organization located in Stamford that provides resources and opportunities for people living with mental illness to lead fulfilling and productive lives where they live, work and go to school, helping to bridge the gap between isolation and community.

Now in its 39th year, the Loft Artists Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing artists with a supportive environment and opportunities to exhibit their work, while reaching out to the community at large with education and artistic expression, as well as collaborative projects. Their grassroots events attract thousands of visitors throughout the tri state area and have been recognized by city and state funding agencies, as well as corporate and private sponsors.

The Small Art and Craft Market will be open Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 4:30 pm. Admission and parking are free. Handicapped access is available by request only. For directions and more information visit loftartists.com.  Sponsored by Friends of Laurel House and the City of Stamford Cultural Arts Partnership Program, David Martin, Mayor.
