scott baxter

Scott is an artist and photographer.  He has been formally practicing photography since 2010.  He has extensive formal training in photography from the School of International Center of Photography in NYC.  His prints are typically large (72"x48") and produced on the medium of aluminum.

"I typically photograph 'things outdoors.'  With my photography, Iā€™m trying to convey to you things which I've seen in the world which have moved me emotionally:  people, landscapes, colors, lines, patterns.  Capturing these things visually to last, and to share, using photography is a passion of mine.   I enjoy and gain satisfaction by sharing with others what has moved me visually and emotionally in life." I produce large prints--you may see them in context of locations under the Project: "Size Matters".

Scott is also a self-taught artist and paints large (72"x48") abstract expressionist and impressionist oil on canvas works.  Some projects bridge the works of Jackson Pollock and Hans Hoffman; other projects combine his photography and bridge artists such as Roy Lichtenstein.  Scott is a member of the Loft Artists Association.
