Julie DiBiase attended the Prosperi Institute of Art, where she studied Fine Art and Commercial Art. Graduating first in her class, she received the Alpha Beta Kappa Honor Society award for excellence and personal integrity. She has continued her studies at the Silvermine School of Art and the Rowayton Arts Center. She is a member of many local art organizations, including the, Greenwich Arts Council, the Rowayton Arts Center, the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County and currently serves as co-president of the Art Society of Old Greenwich.
“I was interestested in photography at a young age, as a child, I always had a camera in my hand, it was my prized possession. Now photography is my passion! To me, photography is the art of observaton. It is about finding something interesting in an ordinary place and sharing my wonderous discovery with the viewer.”
Miss BiBiase captures things as the are, inperfect and unadorned yet stunning, revealing quiet beauty that may not be evident. Making the ordinary into the extraordinary!
Working in color and black and white, her subject matter ranges from intimate landscapes and still life to architectural elements and more recently the exploration of the abstract. The majority of her works are numbered and signed limited editions and have been accepted into numerous juried exhibits received several ribbon awards. Julie’s photography has also been featured in Serendipity Magazine, the Greenwich Time, Greenwich Free Press, Greenwich Lifestyle Magazine and Living Greenwich, along with many other publicatons. Her work is also held in private collections across the United States as well as internationally.
