Michele Krauss

Chilean-American artist Michele Krauss, originally from Santiago, Chile, has spent much of her life immersed in diverse cultures across the globe. Her wide-ranging travels have allowed her to delve deeply into the fields of interior architecture, design, and art in world-renowned cities such as Milan, London, San Francisco, Miami, Madrid, Boston, and New York.

The constant movement and adaptation in her life have shaped her artistic vision, inspiring themes of perpetual transition, the struggle between stability and exploration, and the interplay between conformity and personal freedom.

Krauss has showcased her work both nationally and internationally at contemporary art fairs, solo exhibitions, and group shows in countries including Italy, Chile, Australia, France, Japan, and the United States. Her artwork has gained recognition in juried exhibitions, with curators from leading institutions like MoMA, the Guggenheim, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art selecting her pieces.

Her work has been highlighted in prominent publications such as Revista COSAS, Art Journal, and Harper’s Bazaar. Notably, her paintings were chosen by curators from the U.S. Department of State for display in the U.S. Embassy in Santiago, Chile. Her art also resides in numerous private and corporate collections around the world.

After over a decade in New York City, where she established her studio and drew inspiration from the city’s vibrant energy and cultural diversity, Krauss transitioned to the quieter landscapes of Connecticut. Now surrounded by nature, she enjoys a harmonious blend of peace and proximity to the dynamic creativity of the city.
