Bodies in Motion
The Loft Artists Association is hosting an all member exhibit titled “Bodies in Motion” in the galleries at 575 Pacific Street from Saturday, May 8 through Sunday, June 13, 2021. Please consider joining us on Saturday, May 8 from 2 - 4 pm for an opening reception to meet the artists. Facemasks are required in the galleries.
Exhibit chair, Paul G. Larson describes the concept for the show as follows, “The oldest, most profound, and the most universal of all symbols is the human body. When temporarily permeated with divine enthusiasm, the limitations of the individual personality may for a brief moment be transcended and we may behold, at least in part, that celestial luminosity in which all creation is bathed.”
The work promises to be exciting, innovative and thought provoking as the Loft Artists define and re-define the human body within the concept of a world in motion.
