Nature Gifts

CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF ROSA COLON’S ARTISTIC LIFE IN THE US!

JUNE 18-JULY 25, 2021 OPENING RECEPTION - JUNE 18, 6-8 PM

In a beautiful exercise of contemplation, she likes to discover the nature lines, the beauty of its forms, the perfection of its shapes, the simplicity of its vibrant colors.

Creating beautiful art works using watercolor, oils' mixed media and pressed flowers and leaves, in a technique that she has mastered during several persistent years, Rosa Colón likes to paint in a colorful way and always trying to show her character and personality through these elements of nature.

And this is a generous effort to endure the greatness, the beauty and the eternal perfection of Nature. Endangered by climate change, some elements of the nature transform and evolve, and in a wise process of adaptation, they change. In future, many of these elements will be different as we know them today, and then this is when Rosa’s artwork gets an additional meaning when becoming an artistic testimonial of this natural change for our future generations.

In this humble creative process, while discovering the eternal beauty of nature  and its gifts, Rosa enjoys the symmetrical patterns of the leaves and enjoys the simplicity and complexity of the flowers. This beauty becomes her main source of inspiration and captures all the significant moments of her life and her background: with delicate pressed leaves and fragile flower petals, she designs people, landscapes, animals, flower arrangements, mandalas on different surfaces such as cardboard, canvas panel and wood.

Yes, Rosa Colón is fascinated by this wonderful Nature’s gifts!
